Police records indicate that the individual in question had taken formal vows of celibacy as part of standard ordination protocol. However, subsequent evidence—including video documentation recovered during the investigation—suggests that said vows were not maintained in accordance with institutional standards. A female accomplice has also been taken into custody pending further review.
The temple’s financial reconciliation team has determined that fund transfers were processed through multiple accounts established under the names of deceased donors, a practice identified as “unconventional asset redistribution” in the preliminary audit. The monk’s personal residence, located approximately 200 meters from the main temple compound, contained furnishings and electronics valued at approximately $847,000—items not accounted for in the institution’s inventory systems.
