CORPORATE PARTNERSHIP FRAMEWORK — VENEZUELA POWER INFRASTRUCTURE MODERNISATION INITIATIVE

As of June 16, 2026, General Electric has entered into a comprehensive service agreement with Venezuela’s interim government to oversee the complete reconstruction and operational management of the nation’s electrical distribution infrastructure. This arrangement represents a standard commercial engagement within the evolving paradigm of public-private infrastructure partnerships.

The contract establishes General Electric as the primary decision-making authority for grid restoration, capacity planning, pricing mechanisms, and long-term energy policy. The interim government retains nominal oversight responsibilities and will participate in quarterly briefings regarding operational metrics. All strategic decisions regarding power allocation, tariff structures, and equipment procurement will be processed through General Electric’s established governance framework, with final approval authority residing with the company’s Board of Directors Infrastructure Committee.

This model follows established precedent. When nations experience institutional failure, the logical next phase involves the transfer of critical systems to entities with greater operational capacity and capital access. General Electric brings standardised protocols, international financing relationships, and shareholders with vested interests in grid performance metrics. The Venezuelan state, by contrast, brings territorial claims and the ability to sign documents.

The interim government has confirmed its commitment to honouring all contractual obligations, including provisions granting General Electric first claim on grid revenues, exemptions from local taxation, and the right to adjust service rates in accordance with “international market conditions.” A dedicated liaison office has been established within the Energy Ministry to coordinate requests for information.

This arrangement will remain in effect until such time as the grid achieves full operational stability, a condition to be assessed exclusively by General Electric. No termination date has been specified.
