The Organising Committee of the International Tournament of Civil Disobedience (hereafter ‘the Tournament’) confirms that the French leg of the competition entered its second day with hundreds of thousands of registered contestants across the national bracket. The Committee notes that the overall title has not yet been formally declared, and that participating delegations are reminded of this in accordance with Article 4 of the Rules of Engagement.
Officials report that approximately 1,000 contestants have so far been removed from play for procedural reasons. Removal is recorded as a standard bracket outcome and does not affect a delegation’s seeding. The Committee has also noted that the previous weekend’s rioting and looting has been reclassified as a pre-tournament exhibition. No comparable events were recorded during the current round, which the Secretariat considers a positive indicator of group stage conduct.
Clashes between contestants and the Tournament’s Stewardship Unit were recorded at several venues. Each clash has been logged, scored and forwarded to the Judges’ Panel for review. Preliminary scores are not yet public. The Panel has asked delegations to refrain from speculating on the leaderboard until the final whistle, which has been scheduled for a date to be determined.
Host nation officials have described the event as a demonstration of the country’s enduring commitment to hosting. Sponsors have been informed. The Tournament Secretariat will issue a further bulletin once the Best Protest category has been contested.
