INTERNAL STRATEGIC MEMORANDUM — AIR INDIA COMMUNICATIONS DIVISION
Following the appointment of CEO Gebremariam, the airline has issued a comprehensive reframing of operational challenges as evolutionary milestones in global aviation history.
The 2025 crash, previously categorised as a safety incident, has been reclassified as a ‘foundational learning event’ that will inform the airline’s pivot toward what leadership describes as ‘turbulence-integrated flight experiences.’ Rather than viewing the 289 fatalities and subsequent financial deterioration as setbacks, the new administration has positioned these developments as catalysts for industry transformation.
In a statement to stakeholders, the CEO’s office confirmed that mounting losses—currently estimated at $847 million across fiscal quarters—represent ‘necessary investment in a paradigm shift toward passenger expectation recalibration.’ The airline will no longer market stability as a service differentiator. Instead, turbulence will be rebranded as ‘dynamic altitude adjustment technology,’ with passengers charged premium fares for routes featuring statistically higher incident rates.
The strategic plan includes implementation of ‘World-Peace Flight Corridors’—designated air routes designed to bypass regions deemed geopolitically unstable, thereby reducing insurance liability while expanding market access to conflict-adjacent territories. Internal projections suggest this approach will restore shareholder confidence within eighteen months, pending regulatory approval and successful navigation of pending litigation.
The communications team has been instructed to emphasize innovation over accountability in all public-facing materials.
